Anupama’s Tale
Hello, I’m Anupama. My love for Indian culture, especially our traditional dresses and jewelry, has always been a big part of who I am.
Growing up in India, I was surrounded by the vibrant colors, intricate designs, and the sheer elegance of our traditional attire. When Neeraj and I moved to Romania, I wanted to bring a piece of our heritage with us and share it with our new community.
I started by setting up a stall, showcasing beautiful sarees, Kurtis, and stunning pieces of jewelry. I was overjoyed by the positive response and the curiosity people showed towards Indian fashion. It felt amazing to see people here embrace and appreciate the beauty of our culture.
Neeraj’s Story
Hi, I’m Neeraj. Just like Anupama, I am deeply connected to our roots and traditions.
When we arrived in Romania, we noticed a gap in the availability of authentic Indian groceries and kitchen essentials. I saw an opportunity to bring the flavors of India to our new home with other important everyday kitchen based food products. I decided to open a grocery store that would offer a wide range of Indian groceries, fresh produce, traditional sweets, and kitchen essentials.
Our goal was to provide everything needed to prepare and enjoy authentic Indian meals. The community’s response was heartwarming, and it encouraged us to expand and include even more of what people love.
Our Mission
Our mission at Angad Grocery Store is simple: to celebrate and share the rich traditions of Indian culture with our community here in Romania. We believe in the power of cultural exchange and aim to be a bridge that connects different worlds through food, fashion, and shared experiences.
